Ameren recognizes LOWA as valuable asset to Lake of the Ozarks!

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Ameren Missouri recently recognized the Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance (LOWA) as a valuable resource in protecting Lake of the Ozarks water quality by becoming a LOWA top level sponsor.

Ameren Missouri Bagnell Dam Director of Hydro Operations Warren Witt delivered a check for $25,000 to the LOWA Foundation on Thursday, July 9. “We are so thankful to Ameren for showing their confidence in our clean water efforts, and we hope that more businesses will follow suit in partnering with us in this very important work,” LOWA Executive Director Donna Swall said.

LOWA-Missouri Master Naturalist-Missouri State Parks Open the Big Niangua River Trail!

BNRT Ribbon Cutting Celebration

LOWA, in conjunction with the Missouri Master Naturalist and Missouir State Parks held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Big Niangua River Trail at Lake of the Ozarks.

The grand event was attended by approximately 200 kaykers and paddlers to celebrate the unique water trail.

The project was jointly sponsored by Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance (LOWA), the Lake of the Ozarks chapter of the Missouri Master Naturalist Program with advisors from the Missouri Department of Conservation, and Ameren Missouri; in partnership with Missouri State Parks, a division of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
